However I would go a step further and say that you not solely focus on web marketing, as this could minimize the overall picture, but study marketing in general. One of the fun aspects of marketing is that thinking “outside the box” is required, this is what I most love about it. So don’t just read “web marketing” blogs, but marketing blogs in general. With this in mind, consider it a personal challenge to take your blog from zero visitors to a hundred a day via a good marketing plan. (or whatever other challenge you seek to implement) For some good reading on the topic, we have compiled what we believe are five GOOD blogs for web marketers.

1. Inc.com Online Marketing Blog – one of my fave blogs on the topic of marketing. They cover online marketing from A to Z, but don’t solely focus on this sub niche. Great tips and ideas are found here and surely an hour or two on this site, will get your juices flowing and breathe new life into whatever web plans you have.

2. Small Biz Trends – this is a multi author blog on topics of interest to small business owners, as such included is marketing. Lots of solid tips can be found at Small Biz Trends, whether you seek ideas or simply need inspiration for a new web project, this site will help you. A must in your RSS feed.

3. Entrepreneur, The Daily Dose – this would be my second favorite blog for web marketing and marketing in general. Perhaps you need a spitfire course on Google Plus, or maybe you never signed up for Facebook and now are playing catch up – The Daily Dose from Entrepreneur.com should do the trick.

4. Social Media Examiner – for those who need a good education on social media marketing, this is the go to site for you. Everything social media is covered here including how to sign up for your social network of choice, how to best use it, ways to get the best out of it, why monetize, ways to grow your presence and followers, ideas and tips on marketing your blog through social media and loads more. My advice is to visit the site and then perform a search on whatever social media tips or info you seek. The results returned should yield plenty of material for you to immerse yourself in.

5. Entrepreneur’s Journey – a well rounded site on entrepreneurship and of course this would entail the category of marketing as well. The site digs deep into profiles of successful web entrepreneurs and how they achieved their success including the marketing plans and strategies they have used to achieve their web nirvana.

His plugin is simple, free and works like a charm. You install fbLikeButton the same as any WordPress plugin, activate in your admin dashboard and then go to settings. What this cool plugin will do is add a LIKE icon and button on the bottom or top (whichever you prefer) of each post on your blog, making it easy for those on Facebook to “like” it on their respective Facebook accounts.

Since a great deal of people have a Facebook page and use it daily, this is a no brainer really. To install the Facebook Like Icon WordPress plugin to your site, follow the simple steps below.

1. Go to Plugins in your wp admin dashboard

So here it is, I’m kicking the Clicknewz meme off by creating the very first one. Lynn (Terry) said she would participate, so we all have to hold her accountable. I’ll pick a member next and then they have to pick one and so on.

1. I’m no techy, my very first computer was just under ten years ago when my youngest brother second handed me his desktop. I still have that desktop, my roommate uses it. It’s a 1994 Compaq. lol.

2. Back in junior college, I took acting classes. Not sure why, just thought it would be fun. But it wasn’t, we had to do wacky things like jump around the stage and pretend we were an animal. Ha! Everyone thought I was snooty, but I was just way too shy for that sort of stuff.

3. I’ve had more jobs than I can count, some good and some not so good. All educational. From science lab technician to mortgage closer and everything else in between, I’ve learned one thing. I’m not cut out for the normal working world, self-employment (at this point) is my only choice.

4. I love sunflower seeds and ketchup. What? You haven’t tried it? All you do is place the sunflower seeds in a snack plate and then just add ketchup. Oh! and mix it all up. You have to try this delicious snack combo, in fact. I wish I could patent it. It’s delish.

5. I sold three sites in 2010 for more than $10,000 all of which are doing really well, according to the new owners. However these sites (as I know now) were worth alot more than $10,000. Ooops! I do NOT plan to sell anymore, do not ask.

6. I do not have a middle name. None. Nip. Nada. Just a first and last name. That’s it.

7. One of my favorite TV shows is House Hunters on HGTV. Love it. I love how we get to peek inside all these super cool houses from all over the globe. Such fun! But I prefer the regular US based House Hunters over the International version (especially when they go to Europe), I don’t dig the older housing from the Old World countries. I like modern aesthetics. Although I do like some of the ocean front Caribbean and or Southern American properties. Those are to die for!

8. My uncle in Puerto Rico was the Superintendent of schools at one point. I come from a long line of teachers. (on dad’s side) Oddly enough, I am not one. That is quirky, right? lol.

9. I often ponder the meaning of life, why the sky is blue and who’s gonna take Oprah’s place as the queen of all media? Oh! the confusion in my head.
