I write guest posts for my own sites but also offer it as a service, this is why I write so many. Have been doing it for over a year now and it’s essentially a component of my freelance writing work.

Speaking of guest blog guidelines, I’ve encountered as many different policies on guest posting by bloggers as there are colors in the rainbow. As you mention you don’t allow outside sources and others allow them. Some only allow big names and so on. Everyone has a right to dictate what is and is not allowed on their sites, so sounds good to me.

I don’t accept guest posts from outside sources. I just started having them this year but they are by invitation only. You’ll only receive an invitation if you are a regular blog visitor and commenter. To me it’s more fair to help my fellow bloggers out then someone I’ve never met before.

Glad this is working for you and it apparently is. I don’t do much guest posting myself, a little but I’ve got too much on my plate as it is.
