It really depends on how you plan on using the device. If mainly for reading, then the Kindle is definitely your best bet. If browsing the net and emailing, then consider the iPad. They’re also at totally different price points.

Kindle – $139
iPad – $499

So it comes down to usage and your budget needs.

What a great idea. I have been wanting a kindle for awhile now but I am still stumped about if I should just get an Ipad because it has more function than the Kindle. Any thoughts?

I haven’t had a chance to hold a Kobo ebook reader in my hand, yet. But the price point is good and it’s backed by Borders, which makes for getting books nice and easy. So definitely a good option. Thx for your visit. Cheers!

I agree, lots of cool ebook readers coming out in 2010, it’s an all out ebook reader war. The NOOK is nice looking, but it’s still missing way to many features. I think next editions of the Nook will be much better. Glad you came by, cheers!

I have a Kindle now but am so impressed with the specs on the Nook that I am seriously considering buying one. I am also interested to see the new lineup coming out from Asus.
