Would You Get A WordPress Tattoo? Like Ed Morita
Ed Morita hearts WordPress so much, he had the logo tattooed on his forearm.

He went a step further by blogging and twittering the whole event live, so others could witness the wordpress tattoo get inked on his arm. Somehow i missed this whole thing, i just found out about it today. (thru twitter of course from @milesless)
Who is Ed Morita? He is a blogger based in Hawaii and interestingly enough appears to be a celebrated pastry chef. Neat? Yes.
I really dig how Ed gave this tattoo some thought and the end result is quite unique. The artist who inked it did a pretty sweet job. The WordPress logo is surrounded by a PC motherboard. Super geeky, but cute.
What about you? Do you feel that Ed Morita will live to regret this (in say) 10 years. Or do you think that art is art and this will live forever in geek history.

Jules: It could be crazier. He could have gotten a Feedburner tattoo or Pownce. LoL.
Smash Ill: The wordpress tattoo is pretty unique. I’ve not seen anything like it before or since. So i give Ed props for coming up with that design. As long WP sticks around, it wont be a mistake.
Heck. It CAN be removed or changed in the future. So not all is lost.

I don’t think it matters if WordPress is around or not… (it is impossible that it won’t be around) I can say personally that my discovery, and developing relationship with WordPress, is singlehandedly responsible for me being able to quit my job several months back and make $1000 for around 20 hours of work (just happened yesterday!) so now that I think about it, getting a WP tattoo (definitely one that looks better than Ed’s) is not a bad idea at all…
Why not pay homage to life changing piece of kick ass coding?!?

Hey, Elijah: Yes it is awesome how this one service has created livelihood for so many. I’m sure there are many wordpress theme designers, wordpress plugin developers, and so on who are making a killing off of WordPress. Not too mention the countless bloggers who use it and make a living off their blogs, etc.
WordPress is what i use for my flips, my blogs and my online business ventures, so i’m not far behind in the income dept. Suweet piece of kick ass coding is right. Heck let’s all get WordPress tattoos. Lol.
God bless Mr. Matt. (the founder of wp)

Well, it does say something about our times and how integrated the internet is to our lives. I think it will probably be somewhat historical unless things change tremendously over the next 10 years and the internet somehow goes out of style like a fashion phase. It’s just something to think about. Never thought somebody would get a website tatoo of a site that’s not their own. But, maybe he has a blog with wordpress and maybe he has a strong connection to it. I guess I’d like to read an interview where he says why he chose it.
