My New Project Is A Tshirt Blog, Plus 5 Questions For You
I’ve been working on my new twitter t shirt blog and would love it if you visit and help me by answering the following questions.

- What do you think of the domain name?
- The twitter inspired wp theme?
- My sidebar?
- The giveaway?
- Your ideas on how best to promote it?
As some of you know i heart twitter and although i probably spend a little too much time there. I find it to be a life saver since i work from home and things can get stale with no one else around.
For me Twitter is like a water cooler, you know the place to go and shoot the breeze with others like minded. Yes it is also fantastic for networking and so much more. It isn’t just about the chit chat.
But getting back to my original thought, i created the t-shirt blog to showcase the coolest tees by for and about Twitter. So far so good. I have a nice round up already. Do visit and let me know what you think?
And of course follow me. Tweet Tweet.

Hey Missy. This is a very very unique blog IMO. So let me answer you question one by one:
Domain name = killer domain name for your niche.
Twitter inspired WP theme = looks surprisingly awesome and suitable. However, I suggest you placed a Twitter bird (you know what I mean) as the logo or something.
Sidebar = clean — but I suggest you add something to monetize on on your sidebar.
The giveaway = i guess that’s the selling point to your reader of your blog. If you are ok with it, then just go on with it.
Promote = how to promote it? Twitter of course! Your target market will definitely be those tech savvy guys. Do some blog comments on blogs like TechCrunch to rake in some extra traffic. Conclusion = cool blog with cool idea. But can you squeeze enough milk out of it?

Hey, Desmond:
Thanxs for the kind word on the idea. (and the feedback) A little backdrop on the idea for you. I went looking for a twitter t-shirt for myself two weeks ago and as i was searching i said to Missy (myself) wow there are so many of them.
I thought to myself how cool would it be to have them all in ONE place for people to see? So i got the idea to create a blog just about twitter tee’s.
Yes i do plan to add a logo and some branding to it. The sidebar has one aff banner, but i plan to add more and also some more to the front page of blog.
Adsense might not be a good idea on this one, as there don’t seem to any relevant advertisers yet from Adwords. So thinking of taking this out.
As for promo? Yep, i think Twitter and blog commenting are good bets right now. As well as press releases, tc widget, blog carnivals, and guest posting. Oh and the giveaway itself, too.
Thanxs for coming by and i really appreciate you taking a look at the blog and giving your honest opinion. Thx!!!
Missy.

Hey, Desmond: I do both. I dabble here and there. You know i don’t have a set way of flipping, yet. I do what i can, when i have the time. Some end up being quick flips and others i hold onto, simply cause i don’t have the time to “FINISH” them. I suppose it comes across as a long term flip, when in reality, it is just a project i’m not finished with yet. LoL.
How are you doing. Are you still churning them out weekly?

Hey Missy,
glad to see you are exploring new marketing ideas… Original blog design, but a content below the fold (I almost click away from the blog, sorry)
Have you research the market? I mean do people really look for twitter t-shorts? what are traffic numbers? I bet you designer bags might be a better market to explore
-
Hey, Max: Long time no see or speak. How is all, are you still running the bag business? If so, let me know how it’s going for you. The twitter t-shirt blog was a flip blog which means I created it to sell it, and I did. The new owner changed up the design, I had a different design on the there with the content above the fold. He made a series of changes to it when he took it over.
Nice to hear from you, will drop on by your blog to say “Ciao!”
Missy
